Alignment Accreditation Standards Review 2025

Public consultation on Accreditation Standards.

Background

APAC is embarking on its 2025 Alignment Accreditation Standards Review, a critical initiative to align our standards with the Psychology Board of Australia’s (PsyBA) Professional Competencies for Psychologists and Code of Conduct.

In accordance with the National Law (2009), APAC will present the proposed standards to the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) for approval and implementation. Following approval, the 2025 Accreditation Standards will replace the previous Standards that came into effect in 2019.

Public Consultation on the 2025 Alignment Accreditation Standards Review

Thank you to all stakeholders who contributed to the 2025 Alignment Accreditation Standards Review. The consultation period has now officially closed.

We are carefully reviewing all feedback received and will incorporate key insights as we finalise the revised Accreditation Standards for submission to the Psychology Board of Australia later this year.

We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with higher education providers and stakeholders to support a smooth transition to the updated standards.
