The Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC) is inviting expressions of interest from speakers interested in contributing to our upcoming Community of Practice Conference 2026. Taking place online on Wednesday 4 November 2026, the conference will bring together stakeholders from across psychology education, training and practice to explore contemporary challenges, innovation and future workforce preparation.
About the Conference:
This year’s theme, Preparing the Future Psychology Workforce, shifts the conversation from exploring emerging challenges to examining how the sector can responsibly develop, support and sustain the future psychology workforce.
APAC welcomes expressions of interest aligned to one of more of the following strategic streams:
- Future Capabilities: What capabilities will future psychologists need? Potential focus areas may include competencies and assessment, AI and digital capability, graduate outcomes, simulation and innovation, and work readiness.
- Sustainable Pathways: How do we build, grow and sustain the workforce pipeline? Potential focus areas may include placement continuum, supervision, workforce transitions, pathway models, placement innovation and scalability.
- Professional Responsibility and Public Trust: What values, responsibilities and expectations must shape the future workforce? Potential focus areas may include cultural safety and Indigenous knowledges, ethics and professionalism, professional identity, public expectations, trust and accountability.
