Accreditation  News  Work for us

APAC is embarking on its 2025 Accreditation Standards Review, a critical initiative to align our standards with the Psychology Board of Australia’s (PsyBA) Professional Competencies for Psychologists and Code of Conduct. This review is part of our 5-year review cycle and presents an exciting opportunity to enhance the inclusivity, clarity and impact of psychology education and training in Australia.

To support this process, APAC is forming three expert advisory groups to provide expert analysis, advice and contributions during the development of the new Accreditation Standards:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group
  • Diversity in Psychology Advisory Group
  • Psychology Accreditation Standards Working Group

Who Should Apply?

We are seeking leaders in psychology education and training in Australia and internationally who meet the following criteria:

  1. Postgraduate qualifications in psychology.
  2. Demonstrated extensive, practical, and deep understanding of the APAC Accreditation Standards (2019).
  3. Demonstrated extensive experience as psychology program convenors, directors, or heads/deputy heads of academic programs.

For the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and Diversity in Psychology Advisory Groups, we strongly encourage applications from individuals with relevant personal or community experience in these areas.

Why Apply?

Your support will ensure APAC can develop new Accreditation Standards that supports PsyBA’s vision through full alignment with the Professional Competencies for Psychologists and Code of Conduct.
